We are BACK!!

Yes, we are back! As some of you may know, the passing of my beloved child took a tremendous toll on our lives which led us to this journey of building a new home. A Toll Brothers Home called the Langley 2. It has some much needed features that I wished were in our Rome. We had some buyers remorse and always contemplated building again.  As the world turns, it led us to follow our hearts to build a home that we could raise our beloved daughters 9 year old child, our granddaughter, in that she will cherish forever. With child in toll after many years of being an empty nest, this new life style has also inspired the interior design for our new home. We have a ratified contract and awaiting our initial approval from the underwriters. Here
The Elevation we chose is called the Williamsburg. I love the Savannah too with the porch. There is a trade off with both of them. The Williamsburg you get two feet more in the dining room, foyer, and princess suite. The Savannah gives you the outside space with the huge porch.

  1. Toll Brothers has been our favorite builder for a very long time but they were not in our area. We have been through nearly every model on the West Coast and have dreamed about owning one of their homes. Maybe we too will get the opportunity one day. We really look forward to seeing this new home come to life just like your Rome.

  3. We love the toll brothers home! We were just missing that wow factor we wanted in our Rome. The Rome has been sold to a lucky owner. :-) We learned so much and are choosing to take that information to build our langley 2. I have much more confidence in doing projects after the build from my Rome experience and to save money. We are just going to put our structural items. This way I het to incorporate my own interior design for the basement. Yaay. BTW i forgot how to add tbe join this site button any suggestions? *sigh* Nice to be back in touch with the two of you!!

    1. Hi Joiful! So nice to see you here. I am so grateful for your prayers. Where is your blog? Can't find it. It's been awhile since I have blogged and trying to relearn the blogging techniques to build my blog. 😀 How is your interior design going?

    2. Hey Nadase! I don't get on often so I completely missed your response. My blog should still be out there. Does it not come up anymore? Honestly, I don't post much anymore though. Once I got back to work good, my designing phase had to take a back seat. lol So happy again to see you back out there!

  7. Welcome back!! I tried to convince hubs to buy the Toll House model about a month ago in Oak Creek. You should have seen the look I got :) Either way this is very exciting for you and your family. Most important, all of the customizations with Ryan you could NOT get, you'll easy have the option with Toll.

    Cheers!

    1. Thanks Asia! Nice to hear from you. I was looking for your blog and could not find it. DID you stop blogging on your home? It said I needed an invitation. :-) After all the major events, i am just finding some breathing room to be back in this world. Selling our home was a Big Decision! I am looking forward to our toll home. We stayed away from them thinking we could not but we discovered we could after trying to purchase the NV Remington 2 home. They were comparable based on what we were creating so we went with Toll. It is really a blessing and I am grateful after all we have been tbrough and still going tbrough since we lost our daughter and raising a child after being empty nesters. Stay tuned and invite me back to your blog. How is the journey going with your home?

    2. I did stop cuz I'm a a lazy cuss. LOL but we've done SO much to our home, it's been three years. Lot's of decor lots of changes. My blog is still there but you won't see anything on it in over a year. I make threats to keep it up and then I just scroll through every one else's. I really like Toll homes, and their model was fantastic. I even took my parents to see the newest model they have now since the other (at the time was up for sale). Hubs is not feeling a move and I say, never say never. We'll see :)

I am sorry to hear about your family however I'm exciting for your new journey, truly. Oak Creek is a bit more peaceful than Fairwood, and in some parts the layout of homes is better. I hope you were able to get the lot you wanted!

    3. Thank Asia! Our family has been through some terrible, terrible times and it's a wonder I am still standing. By his grace, I am standing! I really liked what we did to our Rome Home and it was bittersweet to move out of it especially after the work we put into it. I like staying connected to my fellow blog peers and it's only a few of you left. Are you saying they locked you out of your own blog? It took me a minute to begin posting after our daughter's tragedy. The Toll Brothers model is very pretty and it's the same one they are trying to sell called the Harding. I like the décor in the new model. It's very inviting. The old model is on the market for 1.1M. Eeek!! We chose Oak Creek because of the gated community and we really needed a three car side load which they offer in that community. We considered staying in Fairwood and build a NV Remington 2 but they only offered the two front load garages. Believe it or not, Fairwood homes cost more than Oak Creek for the same model. I tell you...location location location is interesting. I am prayerful that settling into our new home will bring our family some since of normalcy. We did get the lot that offered us the most incentives. It has 16,000 square feet with plenty of expansion on the back yard. In our Rome, we only had 8000 square feet and most of the yard was on the side of the house that we could not expand on. One of the things I am going to miss the most is that POND view.
