Elevation - On the Fence!

SAVANNAH
I really love the porch on this elevation with the columns.  It offers one feet additional space in the foyer entrance and the rest of the floor plan stays true to plan.

WILLIAMSBURG
I really love this elevation because it offers the boxed bay in the dining room and expands it by an additional two feet.  I would love the extra square footage in my dining room.  It also expands the princess suite directly above it which my granddaughter would love to have a larger room plus it expands the foyer.

At the end of the day, it is always about preference and sometimes some sacrifice. The Savannah is 10K more and offers the additional space outside of the home which I really love.   The Williamsburg offers more space on the inside and cost less which I really love too.

We must make a decision soon.  Which elevation would you choose?

  3. I would also go for more space inside. You'll spend way more time inside than outside.

  4. Hi M!!! Nice to see you here. I must confess the extra two feet on the dining room has me intrigued and that is where most of my focus and decision is weighed on. I always wanted a nice size dining room. The living room does not change in size nor the upstairs bedroom above it.

  5. So how does Toll Brothers compare to Ryan Homes? Congratulations Rick & Nadase on your 2 build. We look forward to following you guys on your journey.

    1. Thank you so much Binns Family! We appreciate it. One of the biggest distinctions is the build time. It takes RH only 90 days to build a house where it takes Toll Brothers 6-8 months to build the house. Toll Brothers has also been the number one national builder within the past two-three years.

  6. Tough choice. I love the porch and still regret not getting a real porch with our house. But... I also love the extra space inside, where the living actually happens.

    1. Thanks Tammigirl, this has been a tough decision because on our Rome I fought tool and nail to get a porch through the county and won. This fight supported new builders to add a porch since it was approved by the county. As I think about it more in depth, my choice in a porch was to create some character on the elevation and there was very, very, very little backyard space. With this new build there is lots of space to expand on for creative outdoor living.

    2. I meant there is lots of space in the backyard to expand/build on for creative outdoor living. Thank you for your feedback. It really helps.

  7. They are both beautiful but I like the Savannah a little more on the outside. I would choose the floor plan you like most.

    1. How are you enjoying your Beechtree living? It's gorgeous in your community.

    2. Its been fantastic, the people have been so friendly. Its a sharp contrast from being in the city where everybody is in a rush to be somewhere. It took me a couple weeks to get used to the slower pace, but we feel fortunate to be living in such a calm and beautiful place.

    3. I went to see all the models and it is so peaceful and serene at Beechtree. We chose Oakcreek's community because of location. It is very nice there too. We have met some of the neighbors already. :-) Plus, we are discovering some of our friends l8ve there too.

  8. Hi Linda, nice to see you here!! How is your home experience going? I love the porch because of the character and that upgraded stoop living from growing up in Brooklyn. It is a tough decision because it is 10K more; but I like it.

  9. Hi Owen, You are absolutely right...they are both beautiful. The floor plan on the inside is the same with the exception of the two feet added to the dining room and one foot to the foyer. My husband is funny. He said, if we get the porch that means we have to wave and say hi to everybody like we are in the country. lol
